Big Tobacco’s Next Generation E-Cigs?
So we all know that Big Tobacco companies like Philip Morris has traditionally been against E-cigs as they have been directly cutting into their profits and preventing people from becoming dependent upon addition to cigarettes. But not it seems they are spending a lot of money to get in on the market. What this means for users like you and I is yet to be clear. Will this bring more or less regulation? That’s anyone’s guess.
What we do know however is that they are building a “next generation” device that will likely be VERY expensive. The above diagram shows what they have in mind. As a mod user already, it looks underwhelming but decide for yourself. Is this anything to even make noise over? We’ve had devices like this on the market for years.
So far, Philip Morris has spent $650 million on “next generation” cigarette devices. Not only have they already spent that much, but they want to increase that figure by$100 million a year. They claim their goal is to convert traditional smokers to their electronic devices but that seems like a good excuse to get in on the market.
Tell us your thoughts below or on social media! Is this the future of E-Cigs or will the market revolutionize completely?
